Catholic Life

At the Ursuline Academy Ilford, our commitment to Catholic life is woven into every aspect of school life, rooted deeply in our Ursuline charism and the teachings of our founder, St Angela Merici. We are dedicated to fostering a nurturing and inclusive environment where every student is valued, respected, and inspired to grow in faith, knowledge, and compassion. Our school community is built on the Gospel values of love, service, justice, and respect, guiding us to support and uplift one another.

Through our rich tradition of prayer, liturgy, and reflection, we create meaningful opportunities for spiritual growth and active engagement in Catholic worship. Each student is encouraged to develop their personal relationship with God while participating in acts of service that make a tangible difference in the lives of others. This commitment extends to our focus on social justice through our work on Catholic Social Teaching (CST), where we champion causes that reflect the dignity of every human person and strive to create a world of greater equity and peace.

Our inclusive approach ensures that every student feels a deep sense of belonging, with their unique gifts and backgrounds celebrated. Together, we live out the Ursuline ethos of Serviam—'I will serve'—in all we do, nurturing compassionate leaders who bring hope, courage, and transformative change to the world around them.
